Have A Say in Legislation: Sign Up for Third House.

During each Indiana legislative session, Greater Lafayette Commerce hosts the Third House breakfast sessions, where participants review and comment on pending bills and hear from local legislators on the previous week’s activities at the statehouse.

Participants choose a committee to follow legislation by topic, with pending bills and information communicated electronically.

Interact with State Representatives, Senators

“It’s a very efficient use of time,” says Beth Stull, this year’s speaker of Third House. “And it’s a great hot breakfast.” One of the greatest values, she says: “You can interact with our state representatives and senators. They are very faithful about attending and they give up-to-the-minute information.”

Dana Smith, chair of the Chamber Council, says, “This is a perfect avenue for members of the business community to get to know their state legislators and discuss with them issues of importance to their business.”
