West Lafayette strategic plan open house Feb. 18 at West Lafayette Public Library

The city of West Lafayette will unveil its new strategic plan at an open house from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 18, at West Lafayette Public Library, 208 W. Columbia. This is a different location than originally announced. The public is invited.

“We’ve spent several months gathering ideas and suggestions from people who live and work in Lafayette,” said Mayor John Dennis. “We’ve compiled all that into a plan that reflects the people’s wishes and gives us new goals for our city.”

The plan outlines strategies in four areas: neighborhood vitality; community facilities and infrastructure; economic development; and community relations.

A copy of the plan will be available online at http://westlafayetteplan.com prior to the meeting for those who would like to preview or comment on it.

South Carolina’s Arnett Muldrow & Associates, which specializes in urban planning, assisted the city in its strategic planning process.
